Passion For Our Profession
The Academy of Doctoral PAs (ADPA) is a 501(c)6 non-profit professional organization comprised of medical professionals or those who have an interest in supporting the PA profession. The PA profession has a long history of evolution from the original concept of “Physician Assistant” that began in the 1960s. As a profession, we have evolved along with the changing healthcare system. As those transitions have occurred, PAs have been at the forefront of providing high-quality medical care to patients. As the profession of PAs has expanded from the original concept, the need for options for advanced educational opportunities specific to the PA profession has also expanded. Thus, the ADPA was developed in 2019 as part of the emerging changes in the PA profession.
